This year a new group of 8 university students from Mitsui Education Fund
of Australia (MEF) came to Chigasaki.
This program is Australia Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a Japanese and Australian
economic and cultural exchange program established in 1972, for the purpose
of better understanding Japanese cultural interaction and economics. The
Australian students will spend 3 nights of the three-week study tour homestaying
in Chigasaki.

Friday November, 21st.
The Australian students visited the Youth Understand Education program
at Matsunami junior high school and recieved a warm welcome. |
|
|
|
Saturday morning the 22nd
Australian students experienced the wearing of kimono
and tea ceremony at the Shorai-an. |
|
|
|
|
|
Welcoming party at 18:00 Saturday the 22nd
Shimin-Bunka-Kaikan second floor restaurant in the "Chisou"
The students and guests enjoyed Shamisen, Tanko-bushi and Australian dance. |

| Concluding the active welcoming party, the students presented an Australian
dance, were presented with IAC T-shirts and commemorative photos were taken. |
